Advanced Energy Management, Optimization, and Resilient Control of Renewable Energy Systems under Cyber-Physical Challenges

The rapid penetration of renewable energy, the proliferation of distributed generation, and the increasing electrification of transportation are transforming modern power systems into highly complex and dynamic networks. Effective energy management has become essential to ensure optimal scheduling, stability, and reliability of such systems, particularly under uncertain demand, volatile renewable generation, and cyber-physical risks. This Special Issue seeks original contributions on advanced methodologies and practical solutions for the modeling, optimization, and resilient management of renewable energy systems. Emphasis will be placed on innovative energy management frameworks that integrate control, optimization, artificial intelligence, and cyber-physical security to achieve sustainable, reliable, and secure operation of future power grids. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Smart energy management systems for renewable-rich grids and microgrids
2. Distributed and cooperative optimization for multi-energy systems
3. Model predictive control and AI-driven scheduling for energy management
4. Energy aggregation and management of electric vehicles and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies
5. Resilient and fault-tolerant energy management under communication and sensor failures
6. Cyber-physical security in energy management: intrusion detection, false data defense, and risk assessment
